Hi, I’m Kat – a Nightscape Photographer and Mountain Leader based in the heart of Snowdonia, North Wales.

My journey with photography began in my teenage years when I studied photography and videography, learning to process black and white film in a darkroom. While I initially pursued a career in accountancy, everything changed in 2020 when I moved to Snowdonia and qualified as a Mountain Leader. It was here, among the peaks and under the stars, that my passion for night photography was truly born.

Equipped with the skills to safely navigate the mountains at night, I began exploring the landscape in complete darkness – capturing the beauty of the night sky in remote and wild locations. What started as a personal adventure quickly turned into a calling.

Today, you’ll find me wandering the mountains of Snowdonia with my camera and tent, searching for unique compositions and celestial scenes. My love for adventure has also taken me across the globe – from hiking to Everest Base Camp and Machu Picchu, to photographing the night sky in Bolivia’s high-altitude deserts, climbing in the Dolomites and Atlas Mountains, and braving Arctic winters in Norway and Sweden. In 2023, I completed a 100km trek through the Arctic Circle, capturing the Northern Lights along the way.

I founded my business, Adventure Nightscapes, to combine my passion for night photography with the thrill of adventure, offering others the chance to experience the night sky in some of the most breathtaking and remote landscapes.
