Last night I had the chance to slow things down at the beautiful Graig Wen campsite near Dolgellau in south Snowdonia 🌿🔥. I stayed in one of their cosy little wagons, spent the evening by the campfire with a coffee and some chilled music, and just enjoyed the peace of the place...

But I wasn’t just here to switch off — I was working on a special project for the campsite, capturing some astrophotography over the cabins so they can share the magic of their beautiful dark skies location. With clear skies and the stars putting on a show, it was the perfect spot to shoot 🌌✨...I even had the company of very loud owl 🦉 🤣 🤎

It’s always a privilege when work takes me to places like this — tucked away in nature, full of character, and with views that make staying up all night with the camera more than worth it.

Definitely one of those “tough job, but someone’s got to do it” moments 😅

Spent the last month moving 5 years worth of RAW files and JPEGS off of my old computer and been snooping through all my old files.... in a folder labelled 'Day Time' and in numerous other subfolders from with in it, i stumbled across a JPEG file labelled 'Neowise' 😆....

I had totally forgotten that in 2020 i managed a single 1 minute tracked shot of Comet Neowise at 70mm and forgotten all about it ( i mean, it was only a comet that passes earth every 7,000 years!🤦🏼)... but i had hardly picked up a camera at this point in time and was probably way more enthralled with photographing the milky way...

Sadly, I am unable to find my actual RAW file , and the quality of this saved JPEG is really pants. But decided to blend it in with another old pants well under exposed foreground, to keep with the theme. Thought i share it as I'm never going to ever see this comet again and wasted the last hour of my life trying to do something with it!! Hopefully i can do the next one more justice...
