**Capture the Cosmos in La Palma: A Night Sky Photography Adventure** for 2027! 6th-11th June 2027 with Kat Jones and Gareth Jones Join us in La Palma for 5 nights of fantastic astrophotography! Amateur/Intermediate- This tour is for all levels of nightscapers but it is required that you to have an understanding of how to use your camera proficiently in manual mode (ISO, Shutter speed, Aperture), beginners may find some aspects of the course complex. This is not a beginner photography workshop. Exertion Level Average fitness level required. Clothing, equipment and supplies will need to be carried by yourself. Longest hike over rocky terrain is 30 mins each way. Things we will cover: Planning to shoot the milky way- useful apps (Photopills, Stellarium, Light pollution etc) Choosing the best settings to photograph the stars Manually focusing in the dark Getting the best composition Single frame and Double frame blended exposure techniques Post processing material (photoshop/lightroom Classic/stacking programs)- bring laptop or take notes Equipment you will need: A fairly new DSLR/Mirrorless camera with an absolute minim ISO of 6400 Wide angle fast lens (anything from 14mm to 24mm is ideal. F2.8 or wider aperture. F4 can be used if you have high ISO capabilities) Sturdy Tripod suitable for Astrophotography Memory Cards Head torch with red light and spare batteries Camera batteries and chargers Star Tracker (if possible) Thermals, warm clothing - the temperature in Tenerife will drop at Night. Pack for winter for the field work, summer clothes for day time. Suitable footwear for hiking Please bring personal water bottle/flask Rucksack to carry all kit Accommodation Charming Spanish villa full of character. Kitchen. Pool. Single occupancy rooms. Transportation : Airport pick ups and drop off at La Palma airport- arrive before 1pm on arrival day, depart after 12pm on the last day. Cancellation Policy
All Deposits are Non Refundable if a Trip is cancelled within 90 Days of the start date. Full payment for trip due 90 days prior to start date. The remainder of any trip fees paid may be returned if you cancel within the 90 Days prior to the start date only if a replacement is found for your spot and the payment is received in full.
